Overview

IMHX is one of the UK’s leading logistics and supply chain events, bringing together a large number of exhibitors competing for attention. With a 27m² footprint and three open sides, the challenge was to make the most of a relatively compact space, creating a stand that felt open, clearly communicated Digipal’s offering, and supported both product demonstration and conversation. The focus was on combining strong branding with interactive elements, while keeping the space practical and easy to use throughout the show.

The Stand Design & Build

The 27m² stand was designed to maximise visibility from multiple angles, with a strong structural presence thanks to a 4m-high framework and full-height branded back wall.

MeetiKey Features:

  • Branded Back Wall: Full-height graphic panels for strong brand visibility across the hall
  • Interactive UK Map Wall: A standout feature incorporating 20–30 LED light diodes, combining static green and flashing red lights to highlight key locations across the UK
  • Integrated Storage: Cleverly built into column ends, complete with internal shelving for practicality without compromising aesthetics
  • Display & AV:
    • 65” wall-mounted TV for presentations
    • Bespoke low-level display table
    • Dedicated space for Digipal’s product unit
  • Rotating Turntable: A secure 360° rotating platform designed to showcase equipment dynamically and attract attention
  • Meeting Area: Positioned on the right-hand side, complete with stools and a poseur table—creating a welcoming space for conversations
  • Raised Flooring: The flooring used a light grey wood-effect vinyl, laid on a raised eco-floor deck, giving the stand a clean, modern finish while subtly defining the space. Clean finish with hidden power distribution.

Materials & Finish

The stand was built using the beMatrix modular system, allowing for efficient installation and future reuse. Graphics were produced using a mix of fabric and foamex panels, giving a clean, high-quality finish across all walls while keeping the structure lightweight. Grey wood-effect vinyl flooring was laid onto a raised floor, creating a clean base while allowing for power to be managed neatly within the stand. Lighting was used to highlight key features, including the illuminated logo and the LED-lit map wall, helping draw attention without overcomplicating the design.

Lighting played a key role, with:

  • LED edge lighting
  • Spotlights for product highlighting
  • Illuminated logo signage

What Digipal Wanted to Achieve

Digipal’s main objectives were to:

  • Stand out in a busy logistics exhibition environment
  • Visually communicate their UK-wide operations
  • Create an interactive feature to draw visitors in
  • Provide a welcoming space for meetings and demos

Our Solution

We designed a modular beMatrix stand that combined strong branding with interactive elements to naturally draw visitors in. The LED map and rotating display created movement and interest, while the simple, open layout made it easy for visitors to step on, explore, and engage with the team.

The addition of a coffee area ensured the space wasn’t just eye-catching, but also practical for hosting meaningful conversations with prospects.

Result

The Digipal stand delivered a strong and practical presence at IMHX, showing how a modular approach can go beyond just creating a functional space.

By combining clear branding, interactive features like the LED-lit map, and practical elements such as integrated storage and a welcoming meeting area, the stand attracted visitors and supported meaningful conversations throughout the show.

It’s a great example of how thoughtful design and modular flexibility can help exhibitors maximise their presence and ROI at busy industry events.
