Modular Exhibition Stands: Compro Technologies – Built for Impact, Designed for Compliance at BETT

Compro Technologies partnered with ExpoStands to deliver a custom modular stand for BETT at ExCeL London. The brief was to create a high-impact space that would stand out in a busy exhibition hall, while still meeting strict venue and organiser requirements. With a strong focus on branding, AV integration, and visitor engagement, the challenge was to balance visibility and functionality within a carefully controlled build.

Stand Fact File

  • Client: Compro Technologies Private Limited
  • Event: BETT
  • Venue: ExCeL London
  • Stand Size: 11.5m x 4m (46m²)
  • Stand Type: Modular exhibition stand
  • Open Sides: Two

The Stand Design & Build

The stand for Compro Technologies Private Limited at BETT was built using a custom modular BeMatrix system at ExCeL London.

The design focused on creating a clear, open layout across two sides, with a 4m height to help improve visibility within the hall. The space was planned to separate meeting areas from the main display and reception zones, making it easy for visitors to move through the stand.

A key part of the build was the hanging banner element. This required adjustments during the process due to organiser restrictions around rigging positions and stand boundaries. The solution was revised to ensure full compliance while still maintaining a strong overhead presence.

Overall, the stand combined modular structure, integrated AV, and branded graphics in a straightforward layout designed to be functional, compliant, and effective on the show floor.

Key Features

Custom Modular Build (11.5m x 5m): beMatrix framework with integrated corner storage room and 4m build height, designed for flexibility, structure, and efficient use of space.

Premium Graphic Finish: Fabric and Foamex printed panels used across all walls, delivering clean branding and consistency throughout the stand.

Feature Flooring: Raised platform flooring with light grey carpet finish and integrated LED edge lighting to define the space and improve visibility.

Layered Lighting: 12 x expo arm lights combined with illuminated wall slopes to provide balanced lighting across key branding and display areas.

AV Integration: 2 x 50” wall-mounted screens with USB connectivity for presentations, product demos, and brand content.

Hanging Banner Feature: Fabric hanging structure designed to improve visibility across the hall, adapted to meet organiser rigging restrictions.

Zoned Furniture & Meeting Areas: Reception counter, bar tables, and stool seating arranged to support both quick conversations and longer meetings.

Storage Integration: Built-in corner storage room to keep operational items out of sight and maintain a clean stand layout.

Open Layout Design: Two open sides to maximise accessibility, improve visitor flow, and create strong sightlines from the exhibition aisle.

Materials & Finish

The stand was constructed using a beMatrix modular aluminium system, providing a strong, reusable structure that can be adapted for future events. A mix of fabric tension graphics and Foamex panels was used across the stand to achieve a clean, consistent finish with sharp branding throughout.

A raised flooring system with light grey carpet formed the base, finished with integrated LED edge lighting to subtly define the space and improve visibility on the show floor. Lighting and AV components were built into the structure, helping to keep the overall design tidy and uncluttered while still fully functional.

What Compro Wanted to Achieve

Compro’s objectives for the show included:

  • Stand out in a busy exhibition environment
  • Provide a practical space for meetings and product demos
  • Include a hanging banner to improve visibility across the hall
  • Clearly reflect their brand identity
  • Comply with all organiser and venue requirements at ExCeL London
  • Be built using a modular system suitable for reuse at future events

Our Solution

We developed a custom modular stand design focused on keeping the space clear, functional, and fully compliant. The layout was open on two sides to support easy visitor flow, with simple zoning for reception, meetings, and product demonstrations.

During the process, the hanging banner needed to be revised due to organiser restrictions around rigging positions. We worked with the organiser and specialist suppliers to find a compliant alternative that still delivered good overhead visibility without causing delays or approval issues.

The final design brought together modular structure, AV, lighting, and branded graphics in a straightforward layout that worked well for both presentation and day-to-day use on the stand.

Result

The finished stand gave Compro Technologies Private Limited a professional and practical presence at BETT.

Even with the added compliance requirements, the project was delivered smoothly. The revised hanging banner solution was approved by organisers and helped maintain good visibility across the hall.

On-site, the stand worked well for conversations, product demos, and general engagement, while keeping the branding clear and consistent throughout.

The modular build also means the stand can be reused and adapted for future shows, which adds value beyond this single event.
